Resistor-Capacitor Snubber Unit Handout

Square D Services provides turnkey solutions to help reduce the risk of damage to power transformers caused by high- frequency transients. Our resistor-capacitor (R-C) snubber unit absorbs some of the energy from the high-frequency component of transient disturbances at the transformer primary terminals. Snubber circuits may be used in data center power distribution systems and other facilities with critical power requirements.
