Product Safety Notice: Surgelogic™ NQ SurgeLoc™ Surge Protection Device

Hazard: A potential nonconformance has been found to arise when the Schneider Electric SurgeLoc™ Surge Protection Device experiences an end of life event. This condition, if present, may present a risk of property damage or personal injury, if an arcing event occur. The panelboard enclosures are not intended to contain arc flash. 

Affected Products: Surgelogic™ NQ SurgeLoc™ Surge Protective Devices (SPDs), Square D NQ Panelboards with Surge Protective Devices, and Square D I-Line NQ Combo Panelboards with branch mounted Surge Protective Devices. Impacted catalog numbers can be seen below.

Remedy: Affected devices need to be taken out of service and replaced. You should locate any of these devices which you have sold/installed/in use, and then refer to your customer notification letter on who to contact within Schneider Electric.
