Video: How do I set up Sleep/Wake Up function on the Altivar Process Drive?

Article available in these languages: Finnish

Issue:
Sleep/Wake Up function on the Altivar Process Drive

Product Line:
Altivar Process Drive for 600 and 900 series

Environment:
All serial numbers for Altivar Process Drive

Resolution:

Sleep/Wake-Up in PID Control Mode
When the drive is used in PID control, one of the following conditions is used to switch the application to the sleep state:
 Sleep on low speed (when all fixed pumps are Off in case of a multi-pump application).
 Sleep on low sleep sensor value (using flow sensor for monitoring).
 Sleep on low motor power (when all fixed pumps are Off in case of a multi-pump application).
 Sleep on external condition (using drive input).

The drive is in "PID control mode" when PID is active. (See FA290803 on how to configure PID control)

[Complete settings] [Pump functions] [Sleep/Wake up] [Sleep menu]
[Sleep Detect Mode] SLPM
  • [Switch] - System enters in sleep mode on switch condition
  • [Sensor] - System enters in sleep mode on sensor condition
  • [Speed] - System enters in sleep mode on speed condition
  • [Power] - System enters in sleep mode on power condition
[Sleep Switch Assign] SLPW           [Sleep Detect Mode] SLPM set to ~> [Switch]
Select an external condition to enter in sleep mode (for example, flow switch).

[Inst. Flow Assign.] FS1A                 [Sleep Detect Mode] SLPM set to ~> [Sensor]
This is controlled by an analog/pulse input signal. For configurations of the Analog input assignments reference the user manual Document EAV64318.

[Sleep Min Speed] SLSL                   [Sleep Detect Mode] SLPM set to ~> [Speed]
Speed level under which the system should enter the sleep mode
Note: If using this option, set at 1Hz higher than your low speed (LSP). For example, if LSP= 10Hz, set this for 11Hz.

[Sleep Power Level] SLPr                 [Sleep Detect Mode] SLPM set to ~> [Speed]
Power level under which the system should enter the sleep mode.

[Sleep Delay] SLPd
Sleep or time delay.

For additional sleep functions reference the user manual Document EAV64318.

When the drive is in a sleep state, a wake-up condition is used to restart the application:

[Complete settings] [Pump functions] [Sleep/Wake up] [Wake up menu]
[Wake Up Mode] WUPM
  • [Feedback] -  Wake-Up on PID feedback level
  • [Error] -  Wake-Up on PID error level
[Wake Up Press Level] WUPF
Wake-up pressure level.

[WUP Press. Error] WUPE
Wake-up pressure error level.

Note:  These parameters can only be accessed if the [Sleep Detect Mode] SLPN is turned on
