SoMove is displaying a message stating "Unable to perform the scan network operation" when trying to connect to a device using ModBus Serial connection.

SoMove is unable to connect or find the drive.  Displays a message that it is unable to perform the scan network operation.

Has occured when using SoMove V2.6.2, 2.6.3 and 2.6.4

ModBus Driver installation
This issue relates to a problem with the ModBus Driver installation.
It normally occurs after updating to a new version of the software.
Make sure you have Admin rights to install new software onto the computer.  Insufficent access rights can cause this issue.
Ensure the USB cable is disconnected from the PC and then attempt to reinstall the SoMove software.  Only connect the cable after the installation has completed.
If the issue remains after reinstalling the software, then follow the steps outlined in the attached document.
NOTE: although the document was written to handle an issue that occured when transitioning from V2.6.2 to 2.6.3 it also applies to V2.6.4 installations.  The link for downloading SoMove will take you to the latest version, not V2.6.3 as indicated.
