Schneider Electric, the leader in digital transformation of energy management and automation, today announces a new partnership with Endeavour Energy, which will see the integration of Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure™ ADMS (Advanced Distribution Management System) to enhance the safety, efficiency and reliability management of Endeavour Energy’s distribution network.

Electric utilities in Australia face a multitude of challenges: pressure for increased reliability and reduced carbon emissions, adoption of distributed renewable generation and energy storage, increase in severe weather patterns and network outages, and aging infrastructure.

Addressing these challenges, the integration of EcoStruxure™ ADMS provides Endeavour Energy with leading critical grid management capabilities that will improve outage response, optimize evolving grid operation and manage increasing distributed energy resources impacts.

Endeavour Energy’s network is set to accommodate dramatic growth, including the North West and South West priority growth areas of Sydney, which will see 500,000 new residents connect to the grid over 30 years. These are new cities the size of Wollongong or Canberra, and their success will be linked to how homes and businesses access, generate and distribute electricity as our world becomes more electrified.
