Within this context, Zanelle plays a leading role in the implementation of the company’s Access to Energy Programme called BipBop (Business Innovation People for the Base of Pyramid), established to tackle the challenge of fuel poverty by aiming to provide 1.3 billion people worldwide access to electricity. This includes using offerings from the BipBop solar range of solutions to contribute actively to the electrification of urban and rural communities in the southern Africa region.
Another task is building the Schneider Electric Academy, a knowledge organisation in charge of all training initiatives to accelerate the development of internal and external competencies, as well as skills development to address skills gaps and provide opportunities for further education to previously disadvantaged individuals.
Thirdly, as the transformation leader for the internal “connect to people” company programme, Zanelle’s efforts are focussed on increasing the engagement of leaders and employees whilst promoting an attractive, inspiring and energising work environment.
Zanelle joined the Schneider Electric South Africa human resources department in 2010. She holds a B Com, B Com (Honours) as well as a Masters Degree in Human Resources Management obtained from the University of Pretoria.
