Johannesburg South Africa, Monday, 09 April 2018 – On Monday, 26 March 2018, Schneider Electric and Wits University hosted an “Access to Energy” workshop at the Schneider Electric training facilities at their offices in Midrand. The aim of the workshop was to identify key common challenges and forge new relationships amongst the important stakeholders in the industry. It is envisaged that this day will be a catalyst for an on-going forum that will focus on the opportunities for off-grid electrification for Africa. A select group of practitioners, industrialists and academics attended the workshop – all with the same passion but diverse experience in creating a positive impact on the lives of millions of people who don’t have access to electricity.
