What could cause my Quantum 140CPU67160 to come up as 'NO CONFIG' after a power cycle?

Issue:

What could cause my Quantum 140CPU67160 to come up as 'NO CONFIG' after a power cycle?

Product Line:

Quantum 140CPU67160

Resolution:

One possible cause is that the PLC is using a PCMCIA card in slot 1 that has a bad battery. A bad battery is indicated by PCM1 with the number flashing on the LCD display. In PLC logic, %S67 (PCMCIABAT0) can be monitored.
