Do redundant Modbus Plus cabling networks transmit and receive data on both cable A and B?

No. Although it is true that information is transmitted out on both cable A & B the receiving device will only listen to the information of the cable that gets there first. if the first transmission contains errors it will be ignored and the second cable will be used.
