Why am I getting "Error 1800 [Target] can not find defined target machine" when downloading to the HMISTU655/855?
Product Line:
HMISTU655, HMISTU855, HMIS5T
Vijeo Designer
Environment:
HMI Configuration Software download to physical HMI
Resolution:
HMISTU family HMIs manufactured before March 12th, 2012 were labeled on the back sticker specifically "HMISTU655" and "HMISTU855" these were the 3.5" and 5.7" screen sizes respectively.
The HMISTU655 and HMISTU855 did not have interchangeable front LCD screens and thus were manufactured with separate labels.
After March 2012, the HMISTU family supports swappable 3.5" and 5.7" screens, and the rear module is labeled "HMIS5T".
Nowadays,
- if you order an HMISTU655, it will come with a combination of the HMIS5T rear module + HMIS65 (3.5" screen)
- if you order an HMISTU855, it will come with a combination of the HMIS5T rear module + HMIS85 (3.5" screen)
The download Error 1800 for the HMISTU family is often attributed to this difference.
Please confirm the label on the back of the rear module of the HMI matches the model number that is selected in Vijeo Designer.
e.g.
If the sticker reads "HMIS5T", please select the HMIS5T in the Target Type of the Vijeo Designer project.
If the sticker reads "HMISTU655", select the HMISTU655 in the Target Type of the Vijeo Designer project.
If the sticker reads "HMISTU855", select the HMISTU855 in the Target Type of the Vijeo Designer project.
Software versions:
In Vijeo Designer v6.2 Service Pack 11, the HMIs with the part number "HMISTU655" and "HMISTU855" on the back sticker are no longer available in the list of Targets. One would need to go back to 6.2 Service Pack 10 or older in order to download to these units manufactured in 2012 or earlier.
