How to replace EPROM in all variants of G200?

1 - G2GF with in-built GSM / GPRS modem

The following procedure of EPROM replacement is applicable only for G2GF with GPRS modem.

1.1 - Power off the device


Open the enclosure




Disconnect the supply

(Unplug the connector at bottom right edge)



1.2 - Removal card


Remove two screws of GPRS modem.


Gently pull out the GPRS modem card


1.3 - EPROM replacement


EPROM to be replaced.



Remember the EPROM position according to the notch. It must be respected.



Use screwdriver or IC extractor to remove the EPROM from the board.
In case of screwdriver apply it on both the side equally and slowly remove the EPROM



Insert the new Eprom. Warning: the direction must be respected. There is a notch, to be placed upward.
This step is the most sensitive: the pins of the EPROM must be correctly inserted. Do not bend them.


All pin must aligned and kept in position before pressing the EPROM in socket

1.4 - Testing of Product


Reinstall the GPRS modem and screw it properly.



Connect the power supply


Connect the computer to G200 and check the G200 functioning with the help of Easergy Configurator.


Place the cover (enclosure) back and tighten screws properly.

2 - G2SF without any modem.

2.1 - Power off the device


Open the enclosure




Disconnect the supply

(Unplug the connector at bottom right edge)



2.2 - Removal card


Remove two screws of a card as mentioned.


This is the EPROM, which needs to be replaced.


2.3 - EPROM replacement

Refer Chapter 1.3 - EPROM Replacement on page - 4.

2.4 - Testing of Product


Reinstall the daughter card removed previously.



Connect the power supply


Connect the computer to G200 and check the G200 functioning with the help of Easergy Configurator.

Place the cover (enclosure) back and place the joints correctly.

3 - G2PF AC version

3.1 - Power off the device


Open the enclosure




Turn off and disconnect the AC supply
Check and confirm that device is completely off.




3.2 - Removal card

Disconnect DC supply connector of G200 main board.

Remove two screws of a card as mentioned.


This is the EPROM, which needs to be replaced.


3.3 - EPROM replacement

Refer Chapter 1.3 - EPROM Replacement on page - 4.

3.4 - Testing of Product


Reinstall the daughter card removed previously.



Connect the DC supply of G200 main board.


Turn on the AC supply of board.

Connect the computer to G200 and check the G200 functioning with the help of Easergy Configurator.

Place the cover (enclosure) back close the G200 door correctly.

4 - G2PF DC version

4.1 - Power off the device


Open the enclosure




Turn off and disconnect the DC supply, both solar and battery.
Check and confirm that device is completely off.




4.2 - Removal card

Disconnect DC supply connector of G200 main board.

Remove two screws of a card as mentioned.


This is the EPROM, which needs to be replaced.


4.3 - EPROM replacement

Refer Chapter 1.3 - EPROM Replacement on page - 4.

4.4 - Testing of Product


Reinstall the daughter card removed previously.



Connect the DC supply of G200 main board.


Turn on the DC supply of G200 both sources, Solar and battery.

Connect the computer to G200 and check the G200 functioning with the help of Easergy Configurator.

Place the cover (enclosure) back close the G200 door correctly.
