Can ARGUS Presence detector P/N CCT551011 be installed at a height of 3.2 meters?

P/N CCT551011 is an ARGUS Presence detector with Dual Technology featuring PIR (Passive Infra Red) and Ultrasonic detection. Although it is recommended to be installed at a height of 2.5 meters to gain optimal detection pattern, it can be installed at the height of up to 3 meters. If installed at 3.2 meters, the detection area will slightly increase and the sensitivity will slightly decrease as the distance between segments would be larger and thus the user will have to move a slightly longer distance to cut more than one segment of the presence detector and as a result the lighting regulation might not be the most optimum.

Generally, the sensors depending on PIR and Ultrasonic technologies are recommended to be installed at a height of 2~3 meters to guarantee best performance. We do not have sensors with these technologies that could support higher heights without affecting the sensing performance.

On the other hand, we can reach heights of 10 meters using Argus Presence Detector P/N CCT551023 which depends on high frequency detection technology instead of PIR and Ultrasonic detection technology.
