We have created CID file for a new Easergy Micom P642 of IEC61850 version-2 as per old relay MCL file. We are unable to send our CID file to new relay. New relay only Support CID file.What is the solution?

Please check the below points to solve this issue :
1) Please whether the customer works with IEC61850 edition 2 on this relay.
We think his system scada communicate with various devices on IEC61850 Ed1 mode, may be it will be easier to switch the new relay to Ed1 mode.
To switch the device on Ed1 mode, it need to goes on front panel , in System Data menu and goes down till have IEC 61850 edition, the device will show 2, it need to push Enter key and change to 1.

To connect to device throught Easergy Studio, first right click on Ed 2 device and select Disassociate, and click on Quick connect and a new device will be created on Ed1 mode

With new device created, right click on MCL, select New File &  It will create a new Mcl fille 000 .

Customer can works with this file to configure his Mcl according old device settings.

3.Plesae check  how the customer has configured his Cid file?
The best way is as above, create a default file (Right click - new file) and works with this file (to be sure the file will compatible with device
Once this file is fully configured without error with IED configurator tool, click on save and then please send it throught Easergy Studio.

We hope this will help customer to configure his new device.

When configuration completed, customer can send it to relay from Easergy Studio.

If you still have issue ,please contact the customer care with your .studio file with setting & CID/MCL files .
