Why the current passes through the line choke (L1) of VSD is lower that passes through the motor choke (L2) ?


The line choke has a more stable frequency and the current is demanded by the drive.
On the other hand, for the motor choke current would be changing depending on the motor demand,
and it can present Higher AC frequencies and Surge Currents that could be 3 or 4 times the size from the nominal current.
