Resolution

Starting with EcoStruxure Hybrid DCS 2019, the use of the $ is reserved to identify templates that are created by Schneider Electric. Means, All library templates, and facets provided by Schneider Electric start with a $ symbol to indicate that they are system templates. This is to avoid any overlap of the templates created by other users with library templates as the libraries and projects evolve over time. When users update, duplicate or save such a template, the user must change its identifier by, at least, removing the $ prefix.
In the below use case:
Customer has duplicated most of the facets and composite templates and they have removed the $ symbol from the identifier as well. But, the user will be getting the “Template identifier cannot contain the $ symbol” error message when they update the template as they have missed to remove the $ symbol from the highlighted facet and the interface. $symbol Templates can be used inside a customized object if it is not getting updated by any chance. But in this case, the templates requires an update to reflect the changes.(Current version 1.0.24 to newer version 1.0.25).
