Issue:
Is it possible to host RP-C controller to EcoStruxure Building Operation directly or it has to be hosted to AS-P?
Product Line:
EcoStruxure Building Operation, SmartX Room Purpose Controller (RP-C)
Resolution:
SmartX IP Controller - RP-C is a room purpose, fully programmable, IP based field controller. The RP-C models offer a flexible mix of I/O point types that suit a wide range of HVAC applications. The controller can either be used as a standalone BACnet/IP field controller or as part of an EcoStruxure BMS with a SmartX AS-P or AS-B server or an Enterprise Server as the parent server.
1. RP-C Without RP expansion modules can be hosted directly to Enterprise server, AS-P, or AS-B, with the same limitations as other SmartX controllers, e.g. ES can host up to 600 RP-Cs Without RP expansion modules, but also consider that maximum number of hosted devices for all protocols is 600. Refer to architectural guidelines: https://ecostruxure-building-help.se.com/bms/Topics/show.castle?id=9266
2. For RP-Cs With RP expansion modules, they shall be hosted under AS-P only. Refer to the recommended architecture of RP-C with Expansion modules: https://ecostruxure-building-help.se.com/bms/Topics/show.castle?id=13067
