ViewX Closes on Startup following an Upgrade

There have been reports of ViewX closing right after being opened.  (These instances occurred following a Geo SCADA upgrade – I.E. upgrading from GS 2019 to GS 2023.)  In those instances, the issue was due to the creation of duplicate files in a different Windows folder.  The steps to remedy this are listed below.

Launch Windows File Explorer and look at the following two folders:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Schneider Electric\ClearSCADA

and

C:\Program Files (x86)\Schneider Electric\ClearSCADA\Modules

The CEFSharp*.* files (see images below) should only be found in the 'Modules' folder.

If any CEFSharp*.* files are found in the 'ClearSCADA' folder, these files should be deleted (from the ‘ClearSCADA’ folder only).  Once the files are removed from the ‘ClearSCADA’ folder, ViewX should open without issue.'
