Sydney, Australia, 11 July 2025 – Schneider Electric, a leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation has been recognised at the 2025 PropTech Australia Awards, winning in the Asset & Facilities Management – Established category for the implementation of EcoStruxure Buildings.
This award highlights the organisations’ collaborative effort to deliver a transformative smart building solution at 1 Elizabeth, Macquarie Group’s global headquarters, setting a new benchmark for sustainable, intelligent buildings in Australia.
At the centre of the award-winning project is the EcoStruxure Building Operation Integrated Services Platform (ISP), which brings together all building systems through a single, intelligent platform. Designed in close consultation with end-users, the ISP empowers facilities, security and operations teams with real-time insights and control, while enhancing occupant comfort, operational efficiency and sustainability outcomes.
“EcoStruxure Buildings at 1 Elizabeth demonstrates how smart building technology can deliver measurable results and a future-ready workplace,” said Louise Monger, Vice President, Digital Energy at Schneider Electric.
Since its deployment in 2024, EcoStruxure Building Operations ISP has delivered tangible improvements in energy efficiency, alarm responsiveness and operational transparency. The building operates fully electric under normal conditions, uses chilled beam HVAC for fresh air delivery, and is targeting a 6 Star Green Star rating, supported by smart system integration.
The project’s success reflects more than five years of collaboration, co-creation and stakeholder engagement. Custom-developed features, a structured transition to operations, and dedicated training have ensured a smooth adoption and empowered teams to move from project delivery to operational excellence.
