Is the Smartphone application safe when connected with the Masterpact MTZ circuit breaker ?
Using a Smartphone to communicate with a Masterpact MTZ circuit breaker via Bluetooth is secured in cyber security standpoint:
- 6-digits password pairing process is required for Bluetooth connection
- A standardized Bluetooth LE GATT 1-to-1 protocol is used to get reliable connection within only 10 meters radius,
only staff within the switch room premises can get access.
- For safety reason, all operational commands (i.e.: Protection settings change or OPEN/CLOSE order) will be confirmed by
the user before apply and authorization will be checked by the system using dedicated 4 digits system password.
