Environment

Resolution
Updating to Windows 10 version 1803 Build 16299.371 breaks PLC-USB driver.   When connecting the USB cable to the computer and M340,
the normal "ding" is heard indicating that  the driver has loaded.   This can be verified by looking the Microsoft Windows 10 Professional device
Manager under the Modem section.
  • The USB icon does NOT appear in the task bar.
  • If you attempt to connect with Unity Pro  XL Version 13 or Unity Loader, both programs will eventually generate an error indicating that the device may not be a PLC or is off-line.
  • The user receive the audible notification that the driver install was successful.
  • If you opened the PLCUSB Driver and checked the status both the Remote IP and Local IP were 0.0.0.0
  • Unity Pro Version 13 USB Connection - "Test Connection" would fail with device error indicating it might be off-line or not a PLC.
  • Driver Manager - Version 4.16.26.0 displayed the same error message when attempting to test the USB connection.

This is a known Microsoft issue where similar symptoms also occurs with other third party USB devices.  It is not a Schneider Electric product issue.
The problem has been fixed in 'Microsoft cumulative update from Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64 based systems - KB4103721'.

To resolve the issue, install the update any associated Microsoft hot fixes.
