Depending on the version of PME that is being upgraded there may be extra steps that need to be taken during the upgrade, such as upgrading to an intermediate version of PME. The Upgrade Map provides a list of any extra steps or requirements that are needed for either an In-Place or Side-by-Side upgrade.
