What is the detection range of the heat-tag SMT10020, and the Panel Server PAS400 ?

1. Coverage of HeatTag in Switchboards

A single HeatTag cannot cover an entire switchboard made up of several cubicles, even without partitioning. Please refer to the installation possibilities provided in the HeatTag instruction sheet at point 3 for optimal sensor positioning.

2. Maximum Distance for Wireless Communication of PAS Gateway

For optimal wireless communication, the gateway and the wireless devices must be mounted within a maximum distance of 3 meters from each other. This is to avoid any wireless communication disturbances. You can find more details in the user manual PowerTag System - Design and Commissioning Guide

We recommend that all wireless devices be within the same switchboard for effective communication. Please refer to Rule #1 of the generic design rules. Additionally, Rule #5 suggests avoiding metallic partitions between the gateway and the wireless devices to prevent communication disturbances.
