How to “Reconnection retry number” and “Disconnection timeout” are working with EcoStruxure OPC UA Server Expert ?
In this FAQ, We will explain by an example how the 2 parameters : “Reconnection retry number” and “Disconnection timeout” are running.
By setting this 2 parameters (as on the example above), if the device to address (example M580 PLC) is not present then EcoStruxure OPC UA Server Expert will start to perform 3 retry connections after that if the device is still not connected then EcoStruxure OPC UA Server Expert will stop retry for the timeout duration of 60min and then again 3 retry connections… and so on.
If those 2 parameters is set to 0. Then, No reconnection will be tried and no disconnection timeout will be present. Those feature is disabled.
This behavior is to avoid to load network by having in permanence some retry connections.
