Cause

In order for buses to energize properly in TGML, the buses need to be connected to the upstream and downstream components.

Resolution

Depending on the component library, buses will either need to be snapped to the component or the bus name will need to be defined in the component property fields.

  1. For older component libraries, we can use the auto connect feature and snap the buses to the component. Click the end of the bus. When it turns green, click the top of the breaker and it should snap to the breaker.
    1. Snap Bus to Component
  2. For newer libraries, there will be a field to define bus name on the bus component and fields for the connecting buses on the components connecting to the buses. Make sure that the bus name matches what is in the bind field for TopBusName and/or BottomBusName.
