This knowledge base article explains user on how to resolve the issue which is, Unable to fetch View Only Client licenses from Operation Server by Aveva Access Anywhere 2020 R2 web clients.
The User is having view only Plant Scada Client licenses installed on Primary Operation Server and has properly configured the Access Anywhere web clients. But user is getting the below shown error and web client closes.
In order to resolve this issue, we need to verify the correct SCADA Anywhere group has been added to user which is logging in with Access Anywhere web client. The Access Anywhere has two groups which are "SCADA.AnywhereView" and "SCADA.AnywhereControl" groups. If Customer is having View Only Client Licenses, then Access Anywhere User needs to be added in "SCADA.AnywhereView" group and for Control Client licenses, Access Anywhere User needs to be added in "SCADA.AnywhereControl" group.
If we add both the groups to the Access Anywhere User, then User can detect Control Client licenses only, as SCADA.AnywhereControl group supersedes the SCADA.AnywhereView group.
If we add the Access Anywhere user in correctly to wrong group, then the above shown license not found error will appear. Therefore to ensure license is detected properly by access anywhere web clients, add the user to correct SCADA.Anywhere group as mentioned above.
