How do I mute the sound or alarm for APC Back UPS BR and BK series (Hunter)?

Issue:  How do I mute the sound or alarm for APC Back UPS BR and BK series (Hunter)?

Product Line: BR900G2-FR, BR900G2-GR, BR900G2I, BR650G2I, BK650G2I, BK500G2I, BK350G2, BN1050M2, BX1000M2, BX850M2, BR700G2, and BK500G2.

Resolution:  UPS models BR900G2-FR, BR900G2-GR, BR900G2I, BR650G2I, BK650G2I, BK500G2I, BK350G2, BN1050M2, BX1000M2, BX850M2, BR700G2, and BK500G2  can mute and unmute using the small button located at the front panel of the UPS.

See simple instructions below:

1. Press and hold the small button until the beep was heard and then released.

2. Press and hold again the mute button until the beep was heard and then released to enable the audible alarm.



NOTE: UPS models BR900G2-FR, BR900G2-GR, BR900G2I, BR650G2I, BK650G2I, BK500G2I, BK350G2, BN1050M2, BX1000M2, BX850M2, BR700G2, and BK500G2 is capable of connecting to PCSS (Power Chute Serial Shutdown) because it has a Data port. Through PCSS there is an option for the following UPS models to disable (muted) and enable (unmuted) the alarm.

Step 1 ; From PCSS, Go to product description and click "UPS settings".

Step 2: From Audible section, you can choose it's either "Disable or Enable".



Step 3: After setting up or choosing the alarm condition whether disable or enable, don't forget to click or hit "Apply" to activate the current set-up.
