Market Context Influencing 2026 Pricing
Inflation & Labor Costs
Although inflation in Europe has stabilized compared to previous years, overall cost levels across the industry remain structurally higher. Labor costs in manufacturing, logistics, and services continue to rise—around 2% across the EU—reflecting ongoing investments in workforce capabilities and evolving regulatory requirements.
Energy & Power Costs
Energy markets have become more stable; however, electricity and gas prices are still noticeably above pre 2020 levels. Continued investment in infrastructure, grid reliability, and renewable energy solutions keeps overall energy costs elevated.
Raw Materials
Raw materials remain a significant cost driver, particularly for products relying on engineered metals and electrical components.
- Copper: Prices have increased sharply throughout 2025 and early 2026 due to strong demand from electrification, renewable projects, and data center expansion. Supply remains tight, and even early 2026 prices remain well above historical averages.
- Silver: Silver has seen one of the most notable price surges of all industrial metals, driven by growing industrial use and limited inventories. Its year over year increase is particularly impactful for products where silver is an essential component.
- Electronic Components RAM/SSD memory: Prices for RAM and SSD memory increased sharply in 2026 due to the explosive growth of AI data centers, which has created a market shortage. As a result, prices have risen anywhere from 5% to 500%.
These market dynamics directly influence the cost of producing and delivering reliable, high quality electrical solutions.
