Issue:
How to find and read the serial number of a LTMR?

Product Line:

Environment:
All models, All serial numbers.

Cause:
Serial number read by registers is different from barcode.

Resolution:
The serial number for all TeSys T motor management controllers can be found on registers 70-74. Registers 70-73 are in word format and display the serial number in the below context.  Register 74 displays the factory code in ASCII characters.

1st register contains Year digits as MSB and Week digits as LSB (Y1 Y0 W1 W0)
2nd register contains the Day digit as MSB and Batch number as LSB (D0 B2 B1 B0)
3rd register contains the Variant code digits (V3 V2 V1 V0)
4th register contains the Rank number in the batch (N3 N2 N1 N0)

This serial number is neither published on the LTMR external faces or on the packaging. The LTMR barcode provides different detail specfic to the manufacturing data.
