Does the Matrix-UPS charge the batteries in Bypass mode?

The Matrix-UPS does not charge its batteries in bypass mode. It is imperative to get the unit back to an online mode in order to achieve optimal functionality and keep the batteries from discharging over time. Should the Matrix need to be in bypass the battery packs should be disconnected from the Electronics Unit.
