The MiCOM P22x is a range of protection relays designed for motor protection applications. It includes a complete set of protection functions. Not only are they timesaving and cost-effective, but also reliable and increase motor efficiency.
Protection for motor current, voltage and temperature
MiCOM P22x performs a complete set of motor protection functions on current, voltage and temperature measurements. In addition to these basic functions, the relay carries out large number of other functions that enable it to protect and run the motor more effectively. System reliability is further enhanced via checks on bus voltage prior to start-up, supervision of trip-circuit wiring continuity and protection against circuit-breaker failure.
Functions against high inertia loads and anti-backspin ensure that the rotor stops before the motor can be re-started. The MiCOM P22x relay provides a true RMS based thermal image allowing efficient protection against overload phenomena due to the presence of harmonic components.
