The information drive thermal state comes from a sensor located on the heatsink. The drive thermal state has given by the parameter tHd.
If tHd=118% then the fault appears and at 90% the fault disappears.
The definition of drive thermal state means that 118% of drive thermal state represents maximum temperature on the heatsink that is 100°C. Although drive thermal state reflects heatsink temperature, its dependence is not linear, see the following data:
(tHd means the thermal state of drive).
tHd => Temperature
118% => 100°C
90% => 80°C
50% => 40°C
10% => 0°C
