Cause

Default Flags:
Yellow – Stale Data
Orange – Erroneous Data

Resolution
*Perform backups before modifying your system
These colors can be changed on a per user basis.
To edit these colors open the user configuration file

ION Enterprise file path: (user.wsu) in ...\ION Enterprise\config\cfg\ud
Power Monitoring Expert file path: (supervisor.wsu) in ...\Power Monitoring Expert\config\cfg\ud

For this example, guest.wsu is being used.
Edit the file in Notepad and look for the following tags:

<StaleFlagColor>#ffff00</StaleFlagColor>
<ErrorFlagColor>#ff8000</ErrorFlagColor>

The hex string in the tags represent the color of the boxes in Vista. These can be edited to be any hex color. To find more information on hex color codes please see the link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_colors

For example, if we wanted to use Red (#ff0000) for stale data and Green (#008000) for erroneous data the file would look like this:

<StaleFlagColor>#ff0000</StaleFlagColor>
<ErrorFlagColor>#008000</ErrorFlagColor>

Once you have made the changes save the file, open the file properties and mark the file as Read Only. This will prevent ION Enterprise from changing this file back to the default the next time the user logs in.
