The feature of Diagnostic Buffer Alarm in Vijeo Designer is the feature to read Diagnostic Message from PLC and basis on the alarm appeared in Diagnostic Viewer in PLC, HMI is displaying that in it Diagnostic Alarm Buffer.
To do this we need to first enable the Diagnostic tool in Project setting in Unity Pro and using the DBF we can insert entry in Diagnostic Buffer and HMI simply read it and displays it under Diagnostic Buffer Alarm under Alarms and Event section. These DFB's are inbuilt library of Unity PRo and it is not editable that is the reason you cannot edit this or unlock it.
For this to work like of STO file is not necessary. It only required when you wanted to extract more details information from Diagnostic Buffer of PLC.
