Follow the below steps to enable warning message for unused variables:

1. Open application backup in unity pro.
2. Go to Tool menu
3. Go to Project settings
4. Click on "Management of build messages" under general option
5. Set "Variable not used generates" value as a warning from drop down list
6. Click Ok and build the project
7. Unused variables will be populated in Output window of unity pro software.
