ATV320 is open loop only, even with the encoder card. the ATV320 does have an encoder option card (VW3A3620) however the ATV320 does not allow full closed loop flux vector control and will not have full torque at 0 speed.

ATV320 is applicable for Open loop Horizontal and Vertical Hoist Applications.

The ATV340 and ATV930 have closed loop functions.
