To embed the PAC data dictionary variables into the OPC UA server, you need to enable the data
dictionary in Control Expert. Optionally, you can limit the collection of embedded variables to only
those variables configured for HMI display.
To embed the PAC data dictionary into the OPC UA server, follow these steps:
Step Action
1 In Control Expert, select Tools → Project Settings.... The Project Settings dialog opens.
2 Select Project Settings → General → PLC embedded data, then select Data dictionary.
3 (Optional) In the Project Settings → General → PLC embedded data screen, with Data dictionary
selected, select Only HMI variables.
4 Select OK to close the dialog.
