How do I select the correct Smart-UPS XL battery pack for my Legacy Smart-UPS?

Cause:

"XL" models allow for the use of external batteries to extend runtime.

Resolution:

"APC manufactures a wide VA range of Smart-UPS products. Some of these models
have large, more robust battery chargers. This allows the user to add
additional external battery packs to the Smart-UPS. This feature increases the
runtime when operating on battery. It is important to understand which
Smart-UPS will function with the appropriate external battery pack.

*All Smart-UPS with the extended run feature, will have the letters ""XL"" in the part number. The only exceptions would include the SU3000NET, SU3000TNET and the SU3000RMNET.

The chart below contains all current production Smart-UPS, as well as recently
discontinued Smart-UPS, which support an additional battery pack, and the battery
packs with which they are compatible.
