What causes "AI exception handler Window OS errno=-35 database path or file name too long OS erno = 5,DLL; RDM330" error when launching Concept 2.5 SR1,SR2 or 2.6 SR1, SR2?
Launching Concept issues the following error:
"AI exception handler" Window
OS errno=-35 database path or file name too long"
OS erno = 5, DLL; RDM330
On closing Concept:
Concept Window:
Error ID AI-11343 -35 database file/path name too long
This error indicates that certain Service Updates from Microsoft have interacted with the Concept Install. These Microsoft OS patches are typically installed through Automatic Update.
The interim fix is to go to Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs and uninstall KB840987 and KB841533.

Note: this does not include Microsoft Win XP SP1.
Problem is solved with Concept 2.6 SR2 patch A or later.
Change the TEMP - Variables in Control Panel / System / Advanced / Environment Variables
Use a shorter name like %SYSTEMROOT%\TEMP or C:\TEMP.
Replace both : System Variables and User or Admin Variables.
