Web Diagrams

Cause
There is a problem with the SQL query being used or the services are not started.

Resolutions
Scenario / Resolution 1:
The Query Wizard is used to compose a custom query in which the '*' is used, instead of explicitly specifying columns.

Reconfigure the query so that columns are explicitly selected, rather than using the '*' (asterisk) wild-card search parameter.

Scenario / Resolution 2:
ION services such as ION Log Inserter Service and ION Query server Service are not started.

Even if these services are already started, try restarting the ION Network Router Service.

Scenario / Resolution 3:
The data set returned exceeds a limit imposed by the Vista Query Wizard.

Break the single large query into two smaller queries, i.e. use two Data Log Viewers instead of one.

Scenario / Resolution 4:
An exceptionally long meter name along with a long blank space in the FROM clause of the SQL statement between the product modifier and the meter name will cause the SQL query to fail.

Note: When looking at the SQL statement it may be necessary to scroll a long way to the right to see the complete FROM statement

The statement will appear as follows:

SELECT timestamp
, cause_ion
, cause_value
, effect_ion
, effect_value
, NULL AS V1
, NULL AS V2
, NULL AS V3
, NULL AS I1
, NULL AS I2
, NULL AS I3

FROM --(*vendor(PML),product(LogServer) 0x1000@Group.Meter_Name *)--

WHERE cause_value LIKE 'Disturbance%'
OR
cause_value LIKE 'DDD Analysis Done'
OR
effect_ion LIKE 'Man Wfm Trg'

This SQL statement can be found by right clicking on the datalog viewer in Vista, clicking on the Query tab, and then clicking edit SQL as shown below. Notice it looks like nothing is after the LogServer part of the from statement where the red arrow is indicating that the rest of the statement is off to the right.

Solution:
Take out the large blank space in all FROM clauses so each FROM clause appears like this:

FROM --(*vendor(PML),product(LogServer)0x1000@Group.Meter_Name *)--
