Cause:
What is the "EPSS_DataCollector" SQL account password?
Resolution:
*Warning: Irreparable database damage can occur. This procedure should only be performed by users familiar with SQL Server Management Studio. Databases should be backed up prior to performing this procedure.*
The password for the SQL account "EPSS_DataCollector" created during PMEDC/PMEHC installer is PASSWORD_1234
In order to change this password, in addition to updating it in SQL Server Management Studio, the following file needs to be updated with the new password:
...\Schneider Electric\Power Monitoring Expert\Data Collector\Web.config
Search for "EPSS_DataCollector" and replace the password field with the new password in three locations.
For versions of PME past 9.0, the EPSS collector user has been integrated as a role for the ION and ionedesd users. Ticking the field here will enable access for the Web Apps.
