Why can't a Vijeo Designer project with multiple targets have separate security users?

Issue:
Unable to use the same username for a user in two separate targets in a single project file.

Vijeo Designer 6.2 or later

Resolution:
After the introduction of the Common Security feature, we can no longer provide a means of achieving 1 login/username to many passwords.

When the Common Security feature was designed, the security system was given an overhaul and became more strict in terms of these types of rules. In the real world, we typically don't see scenarios where 1 username is allowed to have multiple passwords on the same system. The ultimate reason for these strict rules was that our products needed to be usable in a FDA certified environment.

In order to give a user name multiple passwords, you will need to make separate projects with individual targets.
