To detect a shortcut in the Profibus cable, a diagnostic information is available in the Unitypro object "%IW0.3.0.243".
This FAQ informs customer that if at any time, a shortcut appears or disappears on the Profibus cable, the bit 15 of the diagnostic object %IWm.0.243 is set to 1.
This bit can be monitor regularly (every cycle) by the application of the PLC, to inform the operator that a cabling default appeared.
In this case, the operator will have to repair the Profibus cabling, and then reset the TSXPBY100 by power cycling the PLC. (power off + power on).
