How to log data under a specific device name instead of VIP.DEFAULT in Power Monitoring Expert
Issue
Is it possible to change the source name that logged data is associated with when setting up a Data Recorder Module, and have the historical data logged under any other device/node?

*When creating custom measurement labels, only use alphanumeric characters such as 1,2,3, a,b,c, and underscores. Special characters such as !,#, or $ cannot be written to the SQL databases successfully and will cause System Log Events showing the text below:*
"Failed to write config info to the database because 'Could not add measurement map entry.'. Will retry in 60s."

When linking a source/module output to a Data Recorder Module, the naming convention below can be used to modify the source name that the logged data will be associated with.
"Measurement@Group.Device" ← note the use of the "@" symbol, as this technique is commonly referred to as "@ sign redirect"
This convention can be used with devices that are currently within the Management Console or to create a new virtual device that does not yet exist.
Example:
Step1)
Devices from the management console are stored in the database of the software in the following format → "GroupName.DeviceName"
=> Therefore, the format of the device in this example is Sub_1.Meter_1
To edit the output register of this module, double-click the result; in this case, it is named Art11 Result1
The image below shows the scenario that will log the source value as the known measurement "kWh" under the device name "Sub_1.Meter_1".
An Arithmetic Module is used to link its output to a Data Recorder Module, as shown below:
It is important to note the device name, whether a physical meter or virtual, that comes after the @ symbol. This will control the source that should be selected when either configuring a Data Log Viewer through Vista or running a Report through the web applications to view the historical data.
NOTE: Default measurement labels should be used when naming registers, as this will ensure compatibility with other PME features.
