Vijeo Designer ERROR: 1875 when download a SoMachine or EcoStruxure Machine Expert application to an HMI

Issue
Vijeo Designer ERROR: 1875 appears when download a SoMachine or EcoStruxure Machine Expert application.
The message shown is:
"Error 1875: [Target] [target name] [Address] requires a valid SoMachine Address. Set the correct path and download from SoMachine."

Cause
This error message displays when you are trying to download using the "SoMachine" method when the SoMachine Equipment Address (also known as the Node Name) for the HMI is empty in Vijeo Designer's IO Manager -> SomachineNetwork01 -> SOM_<HMItype> node:

This occurs if the assignment of an HMI is not performed in the Communication Settings / Controller Selection tab of the Logic Builder for the device you wish to download to.


Resolution
Follow these steps below:

1) In the Logic Builder, go to the Devices tree tab of the project

2) Double-click on the name of the HMI to open the Device Tab named after the HMI's name:
The left-most tab will be named "Controller Selection" in SoMachine or "Communication Settings" in EcoStruxure Machine Expert.
This tab will allow you to point the download path to a specific device detected on your network.

3) In the "Communication Settings / Controller Selection" tab, double-click on the HMI that you intend to download to.
By default, the Node Name will be the part number of the HMI followed by a space, then an @ sign and then the MAC address of the device.
In the example screenshot, the Node Name is "HMIS5T @000123215C31"

Once you've double-clicked, the text in the row will appear bold to indicate that the device (in this case, the HMI) you wish to download to:

4) In Vijeo Designer, ensure the Download method "SoMachine" is selected from the Target > General > Download setting:



5) In the Logic Builder, go to the dropdown menu Online > Multiple Download...
6) Choose the Application you wish to download. In this case, we put a tickmark in the checkbox of the HMI Application because we wish to do download to the HMI:


7) Click OK

The moment OK is clicked, behind-the-scenes, the Logic Builder will automatically assign the Equipment Address / Node Name "HMIS5T @000123215C31" in the Equipment node:



As a result, the project will begin to download to the HMI.
When download is complete, Vijeo Designer's Feedback Zone will show Download Complete:

Also, the Multiple Download - Result dialog in the Logic Builder will show "Downloaded":
