Which PROFINET telegram to use if we want to read more than 2 cyclic data from Altivar variable speed drive?
To read or write more than 2 cyclic data over PROFINET with ATV process or ATV machine drives, it is necessary to use adequate telegram type. Do not use telegram 1 (profidrive) because it has only 2 periodic input words and 2 periodic output words. Neither use telegram 100 as it has the same limitation.
Suitable are telegrams 101 or 102, see printscreen from ATV320 PROFINET manual.
If you want only cyclic data, telegram 102 is OK. Telegram 101 offers the same as 102 plus acyclic (PKW) area using which you can access any register.
