For Cybersecurity reasons the Modbus TCP setting might not be enabled by default when receiving the gateway. You need to activate the Modbus TCP feature in the embedded Web Pages of your gateway to make it discoverable by EPC.
Log in to your gateway and go to the SETTINGS meny -> COMMUNICATION -> IP NETWORK SERVICES -> and check that MODBUS TCP checkbox is enabled on port 502.
Try again to discover your Smartlink / PowerTag Link with EPC.
