Hybird DCS [2019]-How to work on the same control project of a database from different Engineering Client instances?

Customer asked that can two people work on the same control project of a database from different Engineering Client instances?

4. Resolution

In Hybird DCS, Engineering Architecture supports multi users working simultaneously.

Please refer to the following steps:
1>        Generate and install the certificates via System Server Configuration Wizard.
2>        Modify the maximum number of VM as you need, then click next to finish the system server configuration wizard.

3>        Copy the certificate file (*.pfx) from system server to the engineering client.
4>        Go to Engineering Client Configuration Wizard, select the *.pfx file copied from system server, set the password, then click install.



5>        Modify the IP address defined in the system server (not Host Name as snapshot).
Then click “Test Certificates” to check whether the network connection between engineering client and system server is good.
Note: Only the certificates are installed, you can click the button, otherwise you will get an error if certificates are not installed.
Please make sure the firewall has been switched off, otherwise it will lead to test certificates failure.

6>        If there is no error during test certificates, finish the configuration wizard. Then run the engineering client, you will find this computer can access to the system server and work on it.

Note: Make sure the floating license activated in system server has more usage rights. You can see the information via FLEXnet License Administrator in a separate internet browser window.
