EcoStruxure Process Expert [2020 R2] Loop back IP address is not reachable
This knowledge base explains the scenario where the user faces an issue while he tries to open the control project in refine online using simulator.
The user will be able to open the control project in refine offline. Also, User was able to open it in configure mode from topology explorer.
When he deploys the project to the simulator, it will be successful. SIM status will also be shown as "Running". But when he tries to open the project in refine online, the below message popups.
Since the message clearly says that it is not able to reach the loop back IP address 127.0.0.1, we can give physical machine IP address in the NIC property of simulator station node instead of 127.0.0.1 in the topology explorer.
After doing this, the project will be opened successfully in refine online.
This has happened in EPE 2020R2 version.
