New installation lithium-ion SmartUPS will not start on battery before connecting utility.
Issue:
When you first connect the battery, you need to connect the UPS to utility power before turning it on.

Cause:
The Lithium-Ion battery needs to wake-up the first time by applying AC input power to the UPS, before the UPS can power up on battery (“Cold-Start”)
Resolution:
Connect the UPS to AC power to start up. After the battery is powered up for the first time, the UPS can be cold-started (power up on battery) from then on.
