SoMachine v4.3 - Removing Password protection from a project
To remove password protection from a SoMachine project you must know the user name and password.
Without the user name and password, password protection removal is not possible.
Assuming you know the user name and password.
Open the project.
Navigate to the device tree and double click on the "MyController" of the project to open the connection interface window.
In the connection interface window locate the "Users and Groups" tab and click on this tab.
Find the selection box for "Enable user management" and deselect this option.
Save the project.
Password protection is no longer active so the project will no longer require user and password to open or edit the project.
Note:
This article covers the function removing password protection from the SoMachine project and is not related to the function of password protection of the PLC.
Password protection of the PLC was implemented in the newer versions of programming software known as Machine Expert.
This password protection is used to prevent unauthorized login to the PLC. Removal of PLC password protection is covered in a different FAQ
